cover of Duct Tape Isn't Enough

Resilience Southern Style

During the winter of 2008-2009, while I was completing the final draft of Duct Tape Isn’t Enough, I sent a copy of the manuscript to an old friend of mine, Dr. Dennis Newman, at Graceworks Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I had worked with Dennis is years past and had always been impressed with his ability to integrate psychology and his understanding of human behavior into his sermons and his ministry. A follow-up call in the late fall, just as the economy was starting into freefall, he told me he was planning to do some sermons in January on resilience. True to his word, he delivered four sermons in January that focused on the story of Joseph. There are four sermons altogether, here is the first one, learn more about Dr. Newman and his church. The other three will be added shortly.

Ron Breazeale, Ph.D.

This is the sermon by Dr. Dennis Newman on January 4, 2009.
